HOKITIKA, 29feh November.

Mr. H. E. Holland, the Labour Party leader, addressed a large gathering at the Opera House last night in support of Mr. Janies O'Brien, the Labour candidate for Westland. • ' Miv William Jeffries (county chairman) presided. Mr. Holland Bpoke for two hours, making a strong appeal for the support of Labour. He criticised the action of both the Reform and Liberal Parties, was accorded an attentive ■ hearing, and received a vote of thanks at the conclusion of his address.
