COMMENCE IN FINE WEATHER

City and suburban courts were crowded on Saturday afternoon when the first round of the inter-club matches was played. Matches were limited to one set, which is barely a proper trial of the strength of two players, but the games were so numerous that more sets could not be allowed.. The results were:— SENIORS. Men.
