The old crew of the steamer Cygnet are stated 1 to have offered themselves for re-engagement, but were refused, pending the decision of the owners' federation. Seamen from tho Canopus also inquire;! regarding the prospects of starting work. Large numbers of seamen are congregated in the port, but no meeting was held.
