RIDDIFORD CADET CUP
NELSON, 16th November.
The Nelson College Cadets have been awarded the Riddiford Cup for the most .efficient secondary schools' Cadet unit in New Zealand. Scots College Cadets came second, and Hamilton High School Cadets third. The trophy is a handsome gold'cup, presented by Mr. E. Riddiford. The final examination, which was made yesterday, was divided into three parts— inspection to determine steadiness and general discipline, drill, and musketry. Knowledge of the musketry course was also taken into account. The examiners were Lieutenant-Colonel Burgess, Major Henderson, and Captain Convvay, of General Headquarters.
