STRAND THEATRE.
la "The Iron Trail," now screening at the Strand Theatre, there are scenes that bring bursts of laughter, and again send every spectator to the edge of his seat in breathless suspense. The settings are" in a- primitive land, where might is Uie ruler, and where the glacier and the mountain torrent provide a background in keeping with the elementaj-y passions of warring mankind. The story deals with the building of a railway in Alaska, and the erection of a steel bridge over a glacier-fed river. The second feature, "Salvation Nell," deals with the depths of New York's East Side, a-nd is a dramatic and absorbing story of life in the tenements of America's greatest city. \ Pauline Starke has the leading role, that of Salvation Nell, and Joe King plays opposite to her. Included on the programme is a Snub Pollard comedy, "High Rollers," as wall as the latest Gazette. Special imisic is played during the screening.
