Miss Ballantyne, fishing at Glendalvine, on the Tay, caught a sixty-four pound salmon after, a two hours' struggle. This is. the biggest salmon ever caught with a rod and line in British waters. The fish measured 54 inches in length and 28£ inches in girth. Only two salmon over sixty pounds have been caught with a rod and line in the last sixty years.
