Portsmouth's war mornorial is to bo a stone monument 100 ft high, on Southsea Common, near the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour. It will be in such a position that it may be used as a landmark for ships entering or leaving port. At its base, looking north, south, east, and west, will be four lions. The names of all those whom the monument oominsmoiates wiU.bc written upon bronze panels.
