MELBOURNE, This Day. The weather is fine and bright for tho races.
In the gallops at Caulfield, Sister Olive (J. Toohey), not extended, covered a mile in lmin 47sec, and Molyneux a mile in lmin 55sec. Gilray beat CHffdale in the beet three furlongs in 36£ sec. Paganini (E. O'Sullivan) ran nine furlongs on the sand in lmin 58£ sec, and the first mile in lmin 45£ sec. Lapland did three furlongs in 39sec. Steel and Gold Penknife galloped a mile in lmin 48sec. At Flemington Honej Bee and Kashmir, unextended, ran a mile in lmjni 53sec, the last five furlongs in , lmin 6isec. Double Bezique ran a mile on the grass in lmiri 4Ssec. Evensong and Furious .kept companj- for a mile in lmin 48sec; Prince Minimbah and Vodka did five furlongs in lmin 6£sec; and Speciality and Berrigan ran ten furlongs in 2min 19sec.
