Macara Handicap, of 140 soys; six furlongs.—Royal Box, 8.9, 1; Ambitious, 8.7, 2; Dainty Step, 9.1, 3. All started. Won by half a length, with a length between second and third horses. Time, lmin 15sec.
Cave Plate, of 125 soys; five furlongs.—Pantagruel, 8.0, 1; Avonlea, 7.9, 2; Glaive, 7.9, 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 4 2-ssec.
