The.financial statement laid before the Baptist Union Conference showed, receipts totalling £2045. The chief item of expenditure, -61141, was made up of grants to churches. The . debit balance under the general account was £159. It was stated that, the testimonial to tho Rev. J. J. North would reach £400. The conference decided that members could join the annuity fund at the age of 55 instead of 60. The Sustentation Fiuid Committee reported having adopted the following scales: Married ministers, £250; married home missionaries, £230; single ministers and home missionaries, £180. Additional grants were agreed to of £5 for eacli child up to three. ThisRev. Mr. Gray reported regarding the ministerial settlement scheme that only 20 replies had been received, showing that 11 churches were for and 9 against tho plan,. It was decided ip drop tho matter.
