[Mr. Depercr, Chancery President ofthePilgrims' Club, New York, at a recent banquet to Sir Auckland Geddes, British Ambassador to U.S.A., referred to Mr. Lloyd George, and said that he believed that Mr. Lloyd George's career had not been equalled by any statesman. "Whatever may be our antagonistic views regarding his policies and purposes," said Mr. Depew, "we certainly can all agree, as one of Iflie representatives of the Kngjish-speaking nations of the world, that there is no more able, adroit, trise, tactful, and resourceful statesman than Mr. Lloyd George.s"]
