The luggage of herself and her party comprised eighty largo boxes, and it took tile Customs otileials a long time to appraise the perfumes illul other dutiable articles the-y contained. This is probably a luggage "record" fpr truiis-Atlantic visitors. A largo motor lorry was necessary to transport the boxsfc from Victoria to the Ritz HotoL whers Mrs. Wichlield and her party of four, including the Duchess do Chaulnes (also an American), togeihnr with six servants, were staying.
