(Received 13th October, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 13th October. Broomfield knocked out Wells in the sixth round. Beckett defeated Moran, and the referee stopped the fight in the seventh
round. This was one of the most terrific fights in boxing history, with the fiercest exchanges and punishment. Both men were down for long counts and staggering about the ring in the closing stages."
