WORLD'S PROPAGANDA TOUR.

(Received 13th October, 3 p.m.)

PARIS, 12th October.

Two magnificent bronze palms are to be placed on behalf of the French Government on the grave of the Unknown Soldier in Australia and New Zealand respectively. They have been shipped aboard the dismantled French cruisers, JulSs ( Mitchelef and "Victor Hugo, which have sailed from Brest upon a world's propaganda tour for the spread of French culture. The warships have been transformed. Instead of guns and turrets, the vessels throughout are furnished with rich velvets, silks, and laces. The bulkhead* are hurig with works of the best French painters.
