It is .stated that practically no champagne will bo made in France this year, cliuilj' owing to the dry y&gime }a Am-
erica, and the high tariffs of other countries. The producers declare that they hold bigger champagne stocks than they can possibly sell. • No longer is there sufficient outlet and the trade is unable to buy this year's crop of champagne grapes.
