LONDON, 11th October; An official treaty between Britain and Irak was signed at Bagdad on Tuesday. Sir Percy Cox, High Commissioner, declared that Britain would speedily secure the delimitation of the Irak frontier, in order that when- the Treaty was ratified stable government would be assured.

Irak .could seek membership of the League 'of Nations, after which Britain's mandatory responsibilities would cease. The Treaty operates for twenty years, and giy.es Britain control of Irajc's foreign affairs and finances. Britain in return gives military and financial assistance. The Emir Feisul undertakes to frame an organic law providing .for a Constituent Assembly, and a Constitution, and to maintain religious freedom and the open door for trade with all nations.
