SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
The hostess (Miss V. Mueller) secured splendid help on Thursday for her concert to seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society. The performers were:—Mesdames E. J. Burl» ttid Rosenthal, Misses F. Burt, M. Troon, E. James, and V. ( Mueller, and Messrs. V. E. James, Davidson, Edmonds, M'Ka.y, Hawkins, Sundberg, Rice, and Mitchell. Mrs. E. J. Burt was at the piano. The competitions went with the usual 'swing, the prizes coming 'from the hostess and Mr. Edmonds. They went to the Corinthic, Port Auckland, and r---i in port. ,
