EMPRESS THEATRE.
The Empress Theatre announces an excellent double-feature programme for fco-day. The first picture is Tom Moore's latest Goldwyn laughter special, "Officer 666.'' The film-is an adaption of the stage success of the same name, and is the chronicle of a remarkable series of events . :which happened in a single night when a gentleman crook undertook to rob a young millionaire of his collection of rare paintings. The second feature is "LuCky Carson," starring Earle Williams. He has a character pf contrasts, showing him as a down-and-outer, ready to end His life in the waters of the Thames, and who, by a happy accident, becomes a millionaire. There 'is some - xmusual night ph'otogi*aphy, and the London fog effect is another of the marvels of this picture. The supports are Episode 11 of the "Blue Fox" serial," "Own Your Home," a Pathe comedy, and\the latest Gaumont Graphic. The Empress Distinctive Orchestra will play an appropriate programme of music.
