It is>< noticeable that some of the vendors must/, be doing something in. the way of a*i "freeze" for the best part of the timo,y and the poor bidding at the auction salo'.| of fruit stands yesterday, would indicatasi that the Hindus are of that onimon^' Fifteen stands wero put up for audio*! by the chief inspector (Mr. Watson), and' the only "bidders were Hindus. Out 'of ■ the successful bidders seven gave thai same address (TJ'ory street).
