(AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABIB ASSOCIATION.)
CAPETOWN, 25th September. A discovery of considerable scientific importance was made in Southern Rhodesia. The skeleton of an ancient mine worker was found in a, mine with a stone liammer in position beside the face of a gold reef on which the man Had worked. This may solve problems which have baffled investigators for years in connectioA with aflcient mine Vvdrkings in Bhodesia, and suggests the possibility that the remains and ancient mines are of much more recent date than hitherto' supposed.
