CHRISTIANS IN TERROR
DREAD OF ANOTHER SMYRNA,

CONSTANTINOPLE, 23rd Sept. News of awful horrors in Smyrna, which surpass the wor^t Armenian massacres under Abdul Hamid, caused a panic among the entii* native Christian population of Constantinople, where it is feared that the departure of the Allied troops will signalise a general exodus.
Far-reaching precautions are being taken to preserve order. Local ferryboats are ordered to berth before dark.
