KEMAL MOST DETERMINED
"STILL THEBE MUST BE A WAY OUT." (Beceived 25th September, 11 aan.) LONDON, 23rd September. The "Daily Mail's" Paris corespondent reports an. important interview between the French Admiral - Dumesnil and Mustapha Kemal, on whom the Admiral was instructed to impress the necessity of restraining the victorious army from attacking the British. Admiral Dumesnil reports that he found Kemal most determined that Turkish rights must bo observed. Though he was conciliatory, he showed remarkable judgment and sobriety of expression. He frankly admitted he was ready to accept the freedom of the Straits, provided a proper formula could be found.
"I have looked for a formula. I have not found a satisfactory one," added Kemal. "Still, there must be' a way out of the difficulty." The Cunar'd liner Tyria and the Ellerman liner Maronian, lying at the Dardanelles, have Hieen requisitioned by the British Government.
