SUCCESSFUL GATHERINGS

SPECIAL CHURCH ADDRESSES.

The various Sunday functions organised in connection with the boys' weekend -were conducted with eminent success. The arrangements were carried out by a coinrnittee representing the Wellington Ministers' Association, Bible classes, .Sunday school unions, and boys' institutions, with the Rev. H. T Peat as chairman and Mr. 3. L. Way as secretary. Enthusiastic support was lent by '©very minister of »oligion, and special services wete held «*v all the churches, Sunday schools, and Bible classes. The subject chosen for the addresses at the morning services was "Home Building," and "The Dawn of Manhood" was the text of the evening addresses. At the junior Bible class gatherings the subject was "The Duty oi: the Boy to the Church, to the State,, uud to Himself," and at the /senior

classes, "The Young Man's Responsibility to the Boy." In the afternoon, Mr. G. W. B. "Hughes addressed a gathering of boys and parents upon "Clean Living, Clean Speech, and Clean Athletics."
