EARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION
Memories of the past will be revived on Monday evening at the Town Hall, when the winter reunion of pioneer settlers and their descendants will be held. Of the pioneer settlers, those who have seen the growth and development of this Dominion, from the beginning, few are left to-day, but they will be well represented, for there will be many who can look back on four score and more years of residence here. It is to keep the memory of those men who laid the foundations of the Empire City fresh that these reunions are held, to enable them once again to exchange the friendly greeting with friends' made many years before, and to recount Borne almost forgotten incident of early days when a* many so-called necessities were unknown. The gathering, which will be attended by His Excellency the Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe, will be quite informal, and every facility wijl be given to those present to move about j and meet old friends. Short addresses wifl bo given by statesmen and early settlers, and there will bo a few musical items and songs of older days, rendered by old favourites, as well as national dances given by -the Scottish Society. E^rly settlers or their descendants who have not already received tickets can obtain i them from the seoretary at 220, Willis street. ■ ' .
