A very acceptable parcel arrived at the Town Hall this morning, It was a largo case of goods of aLI sorts and sizes, sent along by tho residents of Waikanao for ■distribution to tho unemployed. Included in the contents of theoaee were two and a a half sheep, jams, pickles, preserves all kinds, and a number of good-sized plum puddings. In extending his thanks to tho residents of Waikanae for the very fine gift, the Mayor (Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P.) stated that the goods were one of the best assortments that had yet come along for the unemployed.
