BUTTER AND CHEESE MARKET.
LONDON, 21st September.
Butter is quiet and steady. New Zealand choicest, salted, 2165, 218s; unsalted"? 2205, 2245. Australian, salted, 2045, 208s; Danisji, 2205, 2225. Cheese is firm. New Zealand coloured, 90s, 925; white, 945, 965.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its London house, under date 22nd September :— "Butter, New Zealand, 214s to 218s per cwt.; cheese, 90s to. 96s per cwt. Markets firm." Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their .London house under date of. the 21st September:—"Butter, market quiet. We quote New Zealand salted, 2165, Australian g.a.q., 1968, Australian finest salted, 2065, Banish 2165. Cbeese, market rather firmer. New Zealand coloured, 925, white, 965. The total imports o£ butter into the United Kingdom for August, 1922, amounted to 293,000 cwt., as compared with 248,000 owt. for the corresponding period last year."
