CABLE STEAMER IRIS.

An arrival at Wellington this morning —ac the cable steamer Iris (Captain W. R. Holmes) from the New Caledonian coast. The Iris has recently been attending to a Frenoh cable off New Caledonia, and ha 3 come to repair four cables in Cook Strait. The vaesel experienced an uneventful voyage with moderate weather to Wellington.
