Messrs. Murray,, Roberts/ and Co., Ltd., are to-day in receipt of a cablegram from Messrs. Sanderson, Murray, and Elder, Ltd., dated ISth September, as follows :—Sales 'have closed firm. Compared / with 'opening rates present London sales : Greasy merino—wool suitable for Yorkshire-p-advanced 5 per cent, to 10 per cent.; wool suitable for Continent advanced 5 per cent.; scoured merino advanced 5 per cent.; crossbred greasy comeback, par to 5 per cent, advance; crossbred greasy fine, par to 5 per cent, advance; crossbred greasy medium adI vanced 5 per cent, to 10 per cent.; crossbred greasy coarse,- market shows no change; crossbred dingy and shabby, difficult to sell. Compared with closing rates last London sales, lambs' wool market irregular. Skin wool, crossbred fine to very fine, par to 5 per cent, advance,• other descriptions,! market ; shows 1 no change. , Slipe, fine, crossbred slipe advanced 5 p6r cent, to 10 per cent.; other descriptions slipe advanced 5 per cent. , Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their agents, daied'lsth September:—Wool sales have closed firm; buyers operating freely as , compared with the opening sales of this aeries. The ' closing sales show best merinos on a par, average merino Id. per lb. dearer; fine halfbreds, 50's to 56's, Id per lb. dearer ; crossbreds, 48' a to 50's, Id. per lb. dearer; fine crossbreds,, 46's to 48's, medium crossbreda, 44's to 46's, coarse crossbreds, 40's to 44's, and low crossbreds, 36's to 40's, on a par. The following prices are current at the, sales now, closing i-i-Greasy merinos, Is 1 ll^d per lb.; scoured merinos, 3s 8d; greasy fine crossbreds, 50's to 56's, -Is 4Jd ; greasy halfbreds, ll£d; gre»sy fine crossbreds, 46's to 48's, Bjj[d; medium crossJbreds, 449 to 46's, 7£d; coarse crossbreds, 40\ 44's, 7d; low crossbreds, 36's, ;40'a, 6£d; crossbred) pieces, 6dj crossbred bellies, 53d; crossbred locks, 3£d< The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency l Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram, from their London house under date. 15th September : —Wool sales. The sales closed firmly; to-day. As compared with last sales' closing ratesy prices are higher <by about 5 per cent, to 7^ per cent, for greasy merino super, greasy merino ' medium, fine greasy ,• crossbred, and ■ medium scoured crossbred. Prices are higher by about 7£ per cent, ,to 10, per cent., for scoured merino super, scourefl. merino medium, medium slipe,, fine crossbred slipe, and fine scoured crossbredj prices. are higher by about 5 per cent, for merino, and crossbred lambs; prices are higher by about par to 5 per cent, for inferior merino and coarse scoured, crossbred: prices are about the same as at 3rd August for medium and coarse, greasy crossbred and coarse slipe crossbred. Average current London value of the undernoied description of New, Zealand greasy wool : Merino, super, 24d to 26d; merino average 20d to 24d; crossbred, 50-58's, 16d to 20d; crossbred, 48-50's, lid to 13d; crossbred, 46-48'b, B£d to lO^d; cross-bred,-44-46's, Ud to 9d; crossbred, 40----44's, 63d to 7|d; crossbred, 36-40's, 6*dto 7Jd.
