ADJOINING PREMISES DAMAGED

SYDNEY, 28th August.
The damage caused by the fire in Adams's Buildings is now estimated at £14,000.
The hotel portion of the block was only slightly damaged. The chief losses sustained were to Adams's cafe and the premises occupied by tenants. The water made havoc of the lower floors, and also did considerable damage to the adjoining premises of Gowing Brothers and the Palace Theatre.
