And that is a fine thing for them, for they are,, generally speaking, of the class of people who were not .'at all prosperous, before Prohibition broke out. The Government is spending millions of dollars trying to stop the Üboit sale of liquor, ,and that is a good thing, because' it gives jobs to so many persons who might otherwise be forced to work for a giving., '. . \ " ■"' .. f Foreign distillers are charging enormous prices for the liquor shipped to this country, and that isa good thing, because they are pleased with America, •nd this cordial feeling helps to make our' international relations delightful. The .Federal Government is losing hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue that it used to collect when the sale of liquor was le&al, .and that is a 'good thing, because it shows this. Government is too high-minded to be a partner in sndh a nefarious traffic. Hundreds of thousands, of persons are making their own, and that is a good thing, because they.are gaining a practical knowledge of chemistry, -which should be invaluable to this country in the.next war.;.' ;.' .
