That the Congress of the 'United States be and hereby is petitioned, in the name of the Board of Aldermen of th* City of New York, to co amend the all too-pro-hibitive Volstead Law to the iend that the manufacture and sale of alcoholic may be permitted so that the many who for years found sustenance in light wines and beer* may again injoy that right and privilege. Kesolutiona of similar import have *ecehtly been adopted by the Common Councils or other municipal boavds of Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore, liostoit. and several other cities.
