PRICE OF SUGAR

The Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon.* P. Lee) announced to-day in the House of Representatives that as the result of the arrangement concluded by the Government for the supply of sugar for the coming jam season, the wholesale price would be £26 5s per ton, f.'o.b. Auckland, from Ist September, enabling the retail price to be 3sd per lb from 7th September.
