An conference of irade unionists, representing the Commonwealth, is convened for 23rd August to discuss the increase in the hours'of work *to 48 weekly, and the reduction of wages and future action to be taken in the 'event of thp unions disagreeing with these measures The conference will decide whether it will hand the whole matter over to the Commonwealth Council of Action m order to put out a, policy for^ the whole movement in Australia
