MEETING OF CREDITORS
ESTATE OF F. 0. BARBS", ' GROCER, A meeting of creditors in the bank' Ttlpt estate of John Francis Barry, grocer, of 52, Moxham avenue, f-Kilbir-nie, took place at the, office of the Official Assignee this morning Mr 8. Tan«iey presided, and representatives of six creditors were present Mr< C. B. O'Donnell represented bankrupt, who was also m attendance,. Bankrupt mads a statement, in which he declared that owing, to ill-health he, was away from business a great deal,' his wife carrying on, but she had also been ill. The list of unsecured creditors! totalled £522 12s 2d,, the chief creditor being Miss A. M Barry, the (amount owing to her being £296. The stock in trade amounted to £135,, and the Book debts to £22 8s 4d Th« total*deficiency was approximately £366 3s lOd >, Mr O'Donnell, on behalf of bankrupt, isaid that a great deal of sickness had militated against the success ,of the businesses It was only fair to bankrupt to state that Miss Barry bad at first offered to forego a considerable portion of th* amount owing to her, bat owing to bankruptcy proceedings being forced she now claimed for the full amount The Official Assignee expressed . the opinion that it was a case of misfortune Bankrupt had had serious competition and a great, deal of illness' After bankrupt had been queirtioned in regard to his takings, 'a motion was carried that a more definite sta-tanent of receipts and expenditure should be prepared and presented to a farther meeting on Friday next
