GENERAL ELECTION

MOTUEKA,

Rumours have been in circulation that Mr. R. P. Hudson, member for Motueka, did not intend to contest that seat at the General Election. Mr. Hudson states that there is no truth whatever in the'rumours, and that he fully intends to contest the Motueka seat as a straightout Reform candidate.

. Mr. C. E; Major, ex-M.P. for Patea, who contested-the Mahukau seat at last election aeainat Sir F. W. Lang, Speaker of the House of Representatives., has been approached to again contest the seat as a Liberal and Labour candidate. It is probable (says the Waikato Times) that^he will consent.
