GLAUOUS, FEOM NEW CALEDONIA. The steamer Glaucus arrived in the stream at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Noumea (New Caledonia). The vessel, which has a cargo of guano for discharge here, is coming to the agency of-Messrs Wilson, Leary, and Co. Captain Reynolds is in command of the vessel, which is to leave here this evening for Dunedin and Bluff to complete discharge of her cargo.

WITH CARGO FROM MONTREAL. Murray Roberts, and Co. advlac that the Canadian Planter, with cargo from Montreal and Sydney (Canada), has arrived at Brisbane. She is to discharge at Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington, and Auckland, and -will then load for New York, Boston, and Montreal at Wellington and Auckland. The yes ael is expected at Wellington on the 12th August.

PORT CHALMERS LOADING FOR HOME,

The Port Chalmers was brought out of dock at Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon, and sailed last evening to load for Home aj Lyttelton. The vessel is later to load at New Plymouth, Picton, Gisborne, and Wellington. She should sail from Wellington on the. 7th August for London, via Montevideo.

WOODARRA AT LONDON. 4 The Woodarra, which left Wellington on the 28th Hay for London, arrived at her destination on the 10th July. PORT KEMBLA TO COMPLETE LOADING. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Kembla left Lyttelton last evening to complete loading for Home at Wanganui and Wellington. She is expected at Wellington on the 20th July, and mil sail on the 23rd July for London, via Montevideo. ' Owing to slackness of trade the Anchor Company's steamer Kaitoa has been paid ofl, and is laying up at Nelson. The steamer Bama will leave Wellington next Wednesday for the Chatham Islands, via Lyttelton The auxiliary schooner Echo was recommissioned at Wellington yesterday, and left last evening for Blenheim. Captain Dempster is in command of the vessel, and his officers are: Mate, Mr. E. Jackson; chief engineer, Mr. T. Swede; second engineer, Mr. E. E. Bckford. . ' . .
