EMPRESS.
The management of the Empress Theatre announces another, big threehour double-feature programme. The pride of place, is given to the Robert Chambers story, "The Turning Point," in which that beautiful artist, Katherine Mac Donald, is featured. "The Turning Point" is known as an unusual story, .and great efforts have been made to retain all of the author's particular and absorbing plot, and the locations selected for its filming are said to contain some of the most wonderful scenes in California. The other drama is of a different type. This is "The Empire of Diamonds," a sensational detective drama, abounding in most delightful thrills, which, with a clever and mysterious tale, make up a really good picture. There is also "The Beryl Coronet," another of Sherlock Holmes's adventures; a good comedy, and the latest topicals. The Empress Distinctive Orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. H. G. Avery, will be heard in a splendid musical programme, which will include as an entr'acte "Everybody Calls Me Honey."-
