A group of American engineers and aeronautical experts, headed by RearAdmiral Fiske, announces that it will attempt ito circumnavigate the world in a hydro-aeroplane of 100-pas_enger capacity, in the interests of commercial aeronautics, and of the development of flying in the United States. RearAdmiral Fiske sent cable messages to the Air Ministries of Britain, France, Italy> Spain, and other countries; in Europe, South America, and Asia, inviting their nationals to' build aeroplanes to Compete in the flight, which will not be a speed Competition, but one based on efficiency and safety. The group's machine will be a double-deck-er, with monoplane wings in front and a biplane tail. The horse-power and speed have not yet been decided. ■ The United., States Government is hot officially connected with the flight.
