THIEF COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE

(II TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 29th June. The theft of £47 18s 9d and a quantity of tram tickets from the offices of the National Electrical Engineering Company last October was admitted in the Magistrate's Court to-day by Thomas Edward M'Mahon (aged 23). Evidence was given that three cash-boxes were rifled one night aftei some of the staff had been working late, and that the accused had been in the company's employment for a year until a month before the theft: Accused, who was arj rested at Te Awamutu on other cha-rges, ! was committed for sentence at Hamilton.
