LODGE MEETINGS
A meeting of Pacific Lodge, No. 8, TJ.A.O.D., was held recently, at which the Grand President, Bro. Lee-Martin, was present. The G.P. congratulated the lodge officers on the efficient manner in which they had carried out their duties. The installation of officers by D.P. Bro. Gauntlett was carried out in the presence of the G.P. The various offices were keenly contested and resulted as follow :—A.D., Bro. Mulligan; V.A.D., Bro. Hearn; Treas., Bro. Binnie; 1.G., Bro. Domb; 0.G., P.A. Bro. Johnston; A.D.B.'s, Bros. Hearn and Maley; 1.A.8.'5, Bros. M. Hyraan and Noad; Mm. Sec., Bro. J. Abel; Org., Bro. Kuch; Delegate to District i Board, P.A. Bro. Patten; Delegate to R.A.C., P.A. Bro. Haggerty. P.A. Bro. P. Lyall was elected to fill'the A.D. chair. The lodge has now formed an orchestra, and it is the intention in future to close the meeting early in the evening and have a musical and vocal programme. A very pleasant gathering was held after the last meeting, when a presentation of P.A. collar and diploma was made tc P. A.; Bro. Johnston. Vocal and musical items were contributed. New members are being initiated at every meeting, and over thirty new candidates have been initiated during the last half-year. A.O.F. Court Sir William Jervois, No. 7609, held its half-yearly meeting thia week. C.R. Bro. A. Johnston presided over a large attendance. Accounts for £36 18s 9d were passed for payment.
