THE WEATHER
Improved conditions were reported in the East Coast districts this morning, but cloudy and. unsettled weather has continued elsewhere with scattered Tainfall. Depressions are still 'in evidence on both sides of the Dominion, and the one to the westward is likely to account for increasing westerly winds, especially in and south of Cook Sitait. Unsettled' and cloudy weather, with rain, may be expected in West Coast and Southern. districts, and snow on the high levels in the South, but warmer and fairly cloudy weather is likely to hold temporarily on the East Coa*t..qf the. North Island.
