STREET HOARDINGS

CONSIDERED BY COUNCIL.

The; subject of street hoardings was considered by the City_ Council last night. The Bylaws Committee recommended that a, proposal for the erection of,a hoarding at the corner of Moles worthstreet and Tinakori-iroa-d, be not approved. -,■.-'

It was also recommended that the conditions approved by the council with reference to the erection of hoardings be amended to provide that in the case of ornamental hoardings, where the'design and construction are to 'the approval of th« City Engineer, the minimum height be increased from 12 feet to 15 feet.

The recommendations were adopted.
