TO-DAY'S BUSINESS.
In the business to come before the House of Representatives to-day there are all the elements for a long sitting. The main business is the Imprest Supply Bill, which must go through all stages; and what may cause a long 'sitting is the fact that the Labour Party has given notice of an amendment which opens up the subject of, the second cut to be made in tlhe salaries of Public servants under the Public Expenditure Adjustment Act. It is understood, however, that Labour may content itself with stating its position through a number of its J'.embers, and then divide, the House. There is also more than a possibility that Labour may find itself out of order. The Prime Minister will enter into the financial position, but it is unlikely that he will have anything definite to cay in regard to the cut.
