Mr. E. D. Mosleyi S.M., at Timain yesterday gave reserved decision in a prosecution by the Income Tax Commissioner v. Crombie, a Temuka draper, for failing to furnish returns of income for the three years, 1918-19-20; misleading or attempting to mislead the CommisT sioner in relation to his income for 1920 and 1921. The Magistrate found defendant guilty1 on air the charges,' arid fined him £25 fov the. failure to make a return for 1920; £2 for his failure in 1918-19, and £10 for negligently misleading the Commissioner in regpect to theieiujn for 1920-21.
