Negotiations in connection with the mail services to Vancouver and San Francisco have been completed, but as the contract -has not yet been .signed no specific details are available. ■ It is underetood, however, that provision has been made, for a considerable reduction an.freight on New Zealand produce carried <?n mail steamers'.
