The Lidcombe Council failed to respond, with the result that it was fined the maximum amount for allowing the Towri Hall to remain infested with rats. Tho Magistrate i. declared. that it was most shocking that those who were entrusted with the safeguarding of the public health should be guilty of such neglect of duty.
