Lord Weardale, writing to Mr. John M'Whae (Agent-General for Victoria) in acknowledgment of £1400, making a total of £17,000 from the Lord Mayor of Melbourne for the Russian "Save the Children" Fund, Stated that the warmhearted generosity of the people of Victoria was indeed wonderful. "No Words of mine," he said, "can express the indebtedness I feel to the Australian people for the splendid effort they are making on behalf of the children of Russia." ■' ' . ■
