WANGANUI MURDER

A SUSPECT ARRESTED

BROUGHT BEFORE THE COURT : AND REMANDED.

(by telegraph.—press associates.) WANGANUI, This Day. A suspect was arrested by Detectives Cameron and Quirke this morning in connection with the murder of Chow Vat at Longrove on 31st May,. The accused, Louis James Taldy, appeared later at the Police Court before Justices of the Peace, when a remand for a week was granted. , Taldy is an unnaturalised Hungarian, about 50 years of age, 'a labourer, and lives alone in a whare in Wanganui East. He is regarded by his mates as hardworking and industrious. He came to New Zealand about twenty years ago.'
