STRAND THEATRE.
"The Scoffer," the leading feature of the new programme- at the Strand Theatre, is a remarkable picture in many, ways. The cast includes such, wellknown artists, as Mary Thiurraan (of Mack Sennett fame), James Kirkwood, and Philo M'CullouglL • The story concerns a God-fearing physician, who, for a time, is soured by fate,' but who, in. the end, realises that his former belief in a God of love is, after all, the only tenable one. The play has. an encouraging lesson. The supporting pictures include episode 18 of "The -Lure of the Circus," as well as ";a gazette and comedy. ; .
