LONDON, 2£th MayThere were two. bursts of heavy firing at Clady, on the Tyrone borde, between ■l'Vetstaters aid Ulster special police. The . fighting lasted for over an hpur on each occsision. Trenches were used, and ma-c-hin-e-guns were brought into action. The Lormyloop bridge, wss blown up, but. .an ieffort ]to destroy the Clady bridge failed. The. inhabitant*, terrorstricken, escaped injury by lying on the ■ floors,of tho houses, which were riddled with, bnilets. LONDON, 27th May. Bitumen continue the campaignl of murder in Belfast. A Protestant youth, a, prominent, footballer, was shot d«ad while'returning, from work. The area- adjacent tp tJie South Strand .was a> scene of the fiercest fighting, .'and several people were: wounded. A special constable was afterwards iim.bush.ed and shot dead.
